Steven Spielberg's niece auditions for "The Voice" in Israel

Jessica Katz, the niece of Academy Award-winning filmmaker Steven Spielberg, has auditioned for the new season of the Israeli version of the talent competition "The Voice." 

The 25-year-old Katz, who made Aliyah to Israel from to the U.S. three years ago and has been performing at various venues in Tel Aviv, participated in a blind audition for the show singing Swedish singer Lykke Li's "I Follow Rivers."

The new season of the popular show, in which aspiring singers do blind auditions with coaches who then mentor them, will premier in Israel June 8. It will feature Mizrahi singers Sarit Hadad and Shlomi Shabat, rock star Aviv Geffen and musician Mosh Ben Ari as the celebrity judges.

Katz also has her own musical group, Jessica Rabbit & the Blues Bunnies, which is titled after the 1988 movie "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" produced by her uncle, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
