Netanyahu gets flak for Likud ad featuring kindergarten kids

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is getting flak in Israel for a campaign video featuring children that portrays political opponents Tzipi Livni and Yair Lapid as misbehaving kindergarteners. 

On Tuesday, Israel's Central Elections Committee banned the Likud campaign video for violating campaign regulations stipulating that minors under the age of 15 cannot be used in political advertisements.

The Likud party said the video was posted online before it had been approved for broadcast.

“Unfortunately, because of a technical error, the video reached the Internet even though it wasn’t approved for publication or broadcast by the public relations staff of the Likud party,” the Likud party said, the Times of Israel reported.
