(JNS.org) Three Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers were injured on Wednesday night near Gush Etzion in what investigators are calling the day’s second vehicular terror attack.
According to Israeli police, a vehicle rammed into the three IDF soldiers in a hit-and-run attack. The soldiers were standing on the side of Route 60 near a military position when they were attacked.
“CONFIRMED:3 #IDF soldiers wounded in attempt to run them over by Palestinian vehicle. Widespread search is in progress to locate the driver,” the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said on Twitter.
The IDF added that the soldiers were evacuated and transferred for further medical treatment. The Magen David Adom emergency services organization said that one of the soldiers is in severe condition, while the other two are in moderate condition.
Earlier on Wednesday, an Israeli Border Police officer was killed and more than a dozen other people were injured when a Palestinian terrorist rammed his car into pedestrians near the Shimon Hatzadik light rail station in Jerusalem.
