(JNS.org) A massive manhunt is underway to search for three teenage yeshiva students who are feared to have been kidnapped near the Jewish community of Gush Etzion in the West Bank.
The teens were last seen late Thursday night in the Gush Etzion area, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said. Security forces are conducting a widespread operation in order to locate them.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened an emergency cabinet meeting on Friday to assess the situation, Israeli Army Radio reported. Netanyahu also called the families of the teens to assure that Israel will do everything it can to bring them home.
Netanyahu has also said he will hold Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas accountable for the teens’ safety.
