(JNS.org) Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom, who most recently has been known for her repeated criticism of Israel’s military for conducting what she described as “extrajudicial killings” of Palestinian terrorists, will be probed on allegations of bribery, the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet reported.

Sweden’s chief prosecutor, Alf Johansson, said Tuesday that he would investigate whether Wallstrom accepted a rental contract from Kommunal, the Swedish municipal workers’ union, for a luxury apartment owned by the union, bypassing a 15-year waiting list.

A maintenance firm allegedly removed some apartments from the market, reserving them for senior government officials and trade-union executives. Wallstrom said Kommunal lied to her about the property, adding that she plans to leave the apartment on Thursday.

“The declaration that they presented to me was a forgery,” she said, according to the TT news agency. “And this is totally unacceptable.”

Last November, Wallstrom linked the Islamist terror attacks in Paris to Palestinian frustration with Israel.
