(Israel Hayom/Exclusive to JNS.org) A Palestinian terrorist armed with a knife in each hand, who attacked a man inside his home in the South Hebron Hills Wednesday, was shot and killed.

After hearing a suspicious noise outside his home, Shabtai Koshobalski opened his front door and was confronted by a terrorist standing holding two knives. Koshobalski's wife and infant son were also home at the time.

Koshobalski fought with the terrorist before running inside to retrieve his gun from the living room. The terrorist stabbed Koshobalski, lightly wounding him, an Israel Defense Forces spokesperson said.

Koshobalski's dog intervened, attacking and biting the terrorist, and giving Koshobalski time to find his gun. The father shot and killed the terrorist—who was later identified as Saad Muhammad Ali Qaisiya, from the nearby village of ad-Dhahiriya—inside his living room.

Koshobalski's wife and baby were in the adjacent room throughout the ordeal. Security forces arrived at the scene and searched the area for possible accomplices.

Hebron Hills Regional Council head Yochai Damari noted that Wednesday was also the Koshobalskis' wedding anniversary, "on which they will now also celebrate the miracle of their rescue."

Also Wednesday, a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip exploded in an area in the Ashkelon Regional Council in southern Israel, causing no harm. Following a similar rocket attack Feb. 27, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had ordered airstrikes against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.
