(JNS.org) A new book by the late Israeli statesman Shimon Peres, which delves into his perspective on pivotal moments in the Jewish state’s history, is due to be released this fall.

Peres, Israel’s ninth president and eighth prime minister, penned his final work just weeks before he died at age 93 in September 2016.

The book, “No Room for Small Dreams: Courage, Imagination and the Making of Modern Israel,” looks at the “crucial turning points in Israeli history through the prism of having been a decision maker and eyewitness,” according to Amazon. The book “explores what makes for a great leader, how to make hard choices in a climate of uncertainty and distress, the challenges of balancing principles with policies, and the liberating nature of imagination and unpredicted innovation,” the description says.

Peres's publisher, HarperCollins, said this week the book will go on sale Sept. 12.
