“There’s nothing like going to the beach with friends,” Netanyahu wrote on Twitter Thursday after the beach visit.

Modi, a prolific Twitter user, also tweeted a photo of their beach stroll that was hand-signed by Netanyahu.

“Thank you my friend, PM @netanyahu for the signed photo, your kind words, amazing hospitality & passion towards #IndiaIsraelFriendship,” Modi tweeted.

Aside from drawing laughs and lighthearted reports about the leaders’ budding “bromance,” the beach visit also enabled Modi to learn about Israel’s desalination technology and to take a ride in Israel’s Gal-Mobile water desalination unit.

“We went on a jeep,” Netanyahu said. “But you can say that it is a future-jeep.”

The leaders also visited the grave of Indian soldiers who fought alongside the British during their Middle East campaign in World War I, and met with Indian and Israeli CEOs to discuss economic cooperation.

“Interacted with Indian & Israeli CEOs to discuss the immense opportunities in India and the wide scope of India-Israel economic cooperation,” Modi tweeted.
