Caroline Glick: ‘Biden’s Foreign Policy Is Juvenile’

“Top Story,” Ep. 37

U.S. foreign policy empowers Iran and undermines the country’s credibility in the Middle East, author and analyst Caroline Glick tells JNS editor-in-chief Jonathan S. Tobin on this week’s “Top Story.”

Tobin discusses the consequences of an American retreat from a position of strength in both Europe and the Middle East. Then Tobin and Glick talk about the failures of the Biden administration and of the current Israeli government, as well as America’s role in the Ukrainian crisis.

“The Biden administration is not going to be reasoned out of its position, it was not reasoned into it,” says Glick, adding that America’s policy on Iran is “just because.”

“They’re like 8-year-olds. Why did you not make your bed in the morning? Because. That’s their excuse. … There’s no justification for U.S. foreign policy,” she says.

Glick has equally little faith in Israeli officials. Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid and Defense Minister Benny Gantz “do not give me any sense that I can trust them—to the contrary,” she tells Tobin.

So, who are Israel’s best allies in the war against Iran? The Gulf states, according to Glick.

“The primary allies in this fight are the Arab states in the Persian Gulf, who are equally threatened by Iran. They are Israel’s allies in this fight, and they want Israel to lead it,” she says.

U.S. Republicans and “a few sensible Democrats” are also on the list of Israel’s allies, she adds.

“Top Story” also airs on JBS-TV.
