Israeli Air Force commander Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar on Monday announced the postponement of trips abroad for career personnel following a situational assessment.

IAF career soldiers who want to travel abroad already have to receive written permission from a lieutenant colonel.

The order comes against the backdrop of anticipated attacks by Iran and its regional terrorist proxies, including Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Tehran wants revenge for the assassination of Hamas terror leader Ismail Haniyeh on its soil, while its Lebanese proxy has vowed to avenge the targeted killing of senior commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut.
