Overnight Sunday, Israeli Air Force fighter jets intercepted a drone on its way towards Israel from the east, the IDF said.
“The vehicle was being monitored by IDF forces, did not pose a threat and no alerts were activated in accordance with policy,” the military said, adding that there were no casualties or damage.
Iran and its proxies fired 170 one-way attack drones at Israel during their massive drone and missile assault on Saturday night. The IDF said that none of the drones entered Israeli territory, with U.S. Central Command announcing on Monday that it intercepted more than 80 of the drones, including seven UAVs on the ground in Houthi-controlled Yemen before the Iranian terror proxy could launch them.
