Israeli forces on Monday neutralized a terrorist who had been attempting to stone civilian traffic in Samaria and had hurled two bottles containing a “dangerous substance” at the troops, according to the Israel Defense Forces.

“The IDF will continue to act to thwart terrorism in Judea and Samaria to maintain the security of the residents of the region,” the military said.

The IDF recently confirmed to JNS that it had started work on a fence around the Arab village of Sinjil, located just south of Eli in Samaria, in response to repeated rock-throwing attacks emanating from it.

In light of the “recurring terrorist incidents” in the area northeast of Ramallah, according to a statement from the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, the army “decided to place a fence to prevent stone-throwing and public disturbances, thereby ensuring the safety of civilians in the region.”
