Ahead of the release of 183 Palestinian terrorists on Saturday and going forward under the Israel-Hamas truce, the IDF warned the prisoners’ families in Judea and Samaria and conducted patrols to remove Hamas flags and symbols.
The Judea and Samaria Division’s Etzion Brigade prepared for Palestinian celebrations, holding meetings in the Bethlehem area to emphasize the ban on gatherings celebrating the return of prisoners involved in terrorism.
Additionally, the Civil Administration issued warnings against celebrations or marches that support terrorism.
These preparations by the Judea and Samaria Division and the Civil Administration for the release of Palestinian prisoners as part of “Operation Wings of Freedom” were conducted in coordination with the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet).
Israel released the prisoners on Saturday in exchange for three Israeli hostages. In the first phase of the ceasefire, nearly 2,000 Palestinian terrorists are to be freed from prison in exchange for 33 hostages, both living and deceased.
The IDF emphasized that Israeli security forces will continue to take action against any public disorder or gatherings that support terrorism.
