The Israel Defense Forces Home Front Command on Sunday announced an infiltration alert for the Israeli community of Psagot, located near Ramallah in the Binyamin region.

Residents were instructed to remain in their homes, with their doors locked and lights out, until further notice.

According to preliminary reports, individuals entered the community in an unauthorized vehicle, breaking into a house before fleeing.

They then abandoned the vehicle and proceeded on foot towards Al-Bireh, according to reports.

Israeli forces launched a manhunt and were conducting sweeps in Psagot to ensure none of the suspects remained behind.

Israeli media has since reported that the incident was criminal in nature and not nationalistically motivated.
