IDF demolishes home of Ido Baruch killer

Israeli forces overnight Wednesday demolished the home of Palestinian terrorist Osama Tawil during an operation in the Rafidia neighborhood of Nablus (Shechem).

Tawil and an accomplice Obkamel Guri killed IDF Staff Sgt. Ido Baruch is a shooting attack on Oct. 11, 2022.

During Wednesday’s operation, Palestinians rioted and opened fire at Israeli troops, causing damage to a military vehicle.

The soldiers returned fire and hits were identified. Riot dispersal methods were employed.

No Israelis were injured.

Last month, the IDF mapped for demolition the Nablus home of Hasam Bassam Bashir Aslim, who directed the killing of Baruch.

Baruch was securing a civilian march near Shavei Shomron in northern Samaria when he was shot from a moving vehicle. He was evacuated to Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba, where he died of his wounds.

Israeli forces arrested Tawil and Guri in February.

Last week, the IDF demolished the home in Ramallah of the terrorist responsible for twin bombings in Jerusalem in November.

Two civilians—Tedsha Tashuma, a 50-year-old father of six from Jerusalem’s Pisgat Ze’ev neighborhood, and Aryeh Shechopek, 16, a Canadian-Israeli from the city’s Har Nof neighborhood—were killed in the Nov. 23 bus-stop bombings, and more than 20 people were wounded.

Eslam Froukh, 26, was arrested in connection with the attacks on Nov. 29 following an “extensive” investigation.
