Publish Your Column
Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) invites you to publish thoughtful op-ed pieces on ‘The Column,’ the fastest-growing platform for sharp opinions and analysis on issues relevant to Israel and the Jewish World.
Unlike other opinion or blog platforms in the Jewish world, admission to ‘The Column’ is by invitation-only—to ensure the highest level of dialogue on newsworthy and important topics. Jewish News Syndicate carefully vets each writer prior to admission. Once admitted onto the platform, writers are encouraged to publish as often as they choose. Generally speaking, if your piece is relevant, elegant and intelligent, JNS will gladly publish it.
JNS reserves the right to approve all pieces prior to publication and to reject any piece at anytime.
Ten Commandments hold up ‘The Column.’ The rules are simple:
- Be relevant
- Write about issues larger than yourself
- Make a cohesive argument or observation
- Write a great headline
- Observe the rules of grammar and keep them holy
- Use punctuation where—and only where—appropriate
- No libel, slander or false accusations
- No incitement to violence
- No lewd or inappropriate topics or language
- Write and keep writing
Violation of the rules above will be the basis for the rejection of op-ed pieces and possibly for a writer’s removal from the platform. Inactivity of over 3 months may result in a writer being dropped from the platform.
As a writer for ‘The Column,’ you are empowered and encouraged to recruit other high-quality writers to join the platform.
