Three Israelis joking about explosives were removed from a Turkish Airlines flight last week and arrested at the Istanbul Atatürk Airport.

The flight, which was supposed to depart at 6:20 p.m., was boarded by the three youths who began joking loudly about “what would happen here if there was an explosion.”

Their conversation was overheard by a Turkish Airlines flight attendant who informed the captain. The departure was delayed for three hours until the unruly passengers’ baggage was unloaded from the plane and examined.

After landing in Israel, the three were taken in for questioning by the police. They were later released.
