What is the conflict between Palestine and Israel?

The Israel-Palestine conflict is a long-standing dispute over land, borders, and rights, marked by wars, uprisings, and ongoing tensions. Key events include the 1948 Arab-Israeli war, the 1967 Six-Day War, the 7 October 2023 Hamas assault, and repeated conflicts in Gaza. Disputes over Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the status of Palestinian refugees continue to fuel the conflict.

Trump’s Gaza plan threatens Israel

Introducing hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees to Egypt or Jordan would rock the peace these neighbor states have with Israel, as well as bolster Arabs in an increasingly restless Judea and Samaria.
