Former president and 2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is scheduled to visit the neighborhood of Williamsburg, N.Y., in the borough of Brooklyn, on Thursday, home to a large Chassidic and Orthodox Jewish community.

Yeshiva World News reported about the planned trip earlier this week, citing sources from the New York City Police Department.

The visit will include a stop at Gottlieb’s kosher restaurant on Roebling Street and Division Avenue for some traditional food. The Ashkenazi eatery is frequented by the Satmars, a Chassidic sect headquartered in Williamsburg.

According to Yeshiva World News, Secret Service agents were spotted at the restaurant recently making security preparations for the visit by Trump, who is running for a second term against U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, a Democrat.
