To what degree is antisemitism an inherent part of the ideology of the Palestinian Authority?
Is the Palestinian antisemitism that we hear about so frequently the product of isolated, random remarks, or is it propagated from the top down? Is it only found in the fundamentalist Islamist groups such as Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, or is it an integral part of Fatah and the P.A.?
Here to answer these questions is Itamar Marcus, director of Palestinian Media Watch (PMW).
About Our Speaker: Itamar Marcus, founder and director of Palestinian Media Watch, has for over 20 years researched the Palestinian Authority world, and has written hundreds of reports and articles on P.A. activities, statements, education, sports, culture and other frameworks the P.A. controls, as they relate to the peace process.
The Israeli government in 1999 appointed Marcus to represent it in negotiations with the P.A. in the Trilateral Anti-Incitement Committee, chaired by the United States. He makes regular presentations to legislators, governments and other decision-makers about the P.A.
Marcus has made numerous presentations to members of the U.S. House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee and given testimony at a hearing of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health, Human Services and Education.
In 2023, Marcus has met with and/or made presentations to members of parliaments from Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, Spain and the European Parliament. His book “Deception: Betraying the Peace Process,” co-authored with Nan Jacques Zilberdik, was acclaimed by the founder of Human Rights Watch, Robert L. Bernstein, as “one of the most important books you may handle in your lives.”
