We are not going anywhere

Palestine Solidarity groups, you are supporting pure evil.

Moriya Shvartz is an Israeli-American pre-medical student at the University of California Santa Barbara.

To the Palestine Solidarity groups at Harvard University,

My name is Moriya Shvartz. I am a pre-medical student at the University of California Santa Barbara. More importantly, I am an Israeli-American.

I write to you while preparing to send my family, friends and loved ones off to war. Sadly, this is a feeling that I am all too familiar with. But this time it’s different. We are not fighting because of politics or land. We are fighting for the existence of the Jewish nation.

My country is grieving on all fronts. Israelis are grieving the loss of their villages, the loss of their homes, the loss of their loved ones and the loss of their trust in humanity.

To make matters worse, groups like yours at universities such as Harvard and other Ivy League schools are supporting this massacre of my people without condemnation. Not only is this detrimental to their students, it is detrimental to people around the world.

I am here to make something clear: By supporting Hamas, you are, by definition, supporting terrorists. You are supporting the mass murder of innocents: Women, children and the elderly. You are supporting ripping innocent people from their homes and brutally murdering them in front of their children.

You are supporting kidnapping women, children and the elderly with the sole purpose of torturing them and posting video of it for their families and the world to see. You are supporting burning innocent Israelis alive and tearing them limb from limb. You are supporting the decapitation of babies. You are supporting the mass rape of women. You are supporting the decimation of the Jewish nation. You are supporting evil.

But I will say this: We will persevere.

Over the last three days, 300,000 soldiers have entered IDF reserve service. These soldiers left their homes, left pregnant wives and children, with no assurance they will come back.

This is the time when we Israelis are at our strongest: When we are united in the goal of protecting our country.

I will say it again: We will persevere.

We always do. We are a nation that beats all odds, rises from the lowest lows and emerges stronger than ever. We are a united nation, founded by the strongest survivors and even stronger soldiers.

And we are not going anywhere.
