In the face of the well-oiled propaganda machine that Hamas and its sponsors have been running in Europe, Ambassador Dor Shapira has shown himself to be fair, firm, convincing, courageous and knowledgeable about history.

Since the fateful day when thousands of Israelis were massacred, kidnapped, injured and burned alive, Israel’s ambassador to Portugal Dor Shapira has been overwhelmed with activities, interviews, public ceremonies and communications in defense of his country and particularly of the duty that Israel has to defend its citizens and, which amounts to the same thing, put an end to terrorism.

Dor Shapira’s work in defending Israel since 7th October has been greatly praised by Jews in Portugal, in the north, center and south of the country. Yesterday, Wednesday, the ambassador visited and spoke at the Shaare Tikvah synagogue in Lisbon and, this Thursday, despite the stormy weather in Oporto, he visited and spoke at the Kadoorie Mekor Haim synagogue.

In the face of the well-oiled propaganda machine that Hamas and its sponsors have been running in Europe for many years, Dor Shapira has shown himself to be extremely fair, firm, convincing, courageous and to be very knowledgeable about history. His visits to the main religious temples in the country’s largest cities also demonstrate that Israel is and will always be supporting Jews around the world.
