Lt. Col. (res.) Maurice Hirsch

Lt. Col. (res.) Maurice Hirsch, a former IDF Director of Military Prosecution for Judea and Samaria, is a leading expert on Palestinian incitement and legal strategies. He currently serves as head of legal strategies at Palestinian Media Watch and directs the Initiative for Palestinian Authority Accountability and Reform at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs. Hirsch has also advised Israel’s Ministry of Defense and chaired an advisory committee in the Ministry of Interior. A passionate advocate for Israel, he regularly provides expert analysis in the media to expose bias and misinformation.

To maintain its legality, a blockade must be effectively enforced; Israel cannot selectively enforce its blockade of the Gaza Strip.
While UN OCHA statistics on Gaza are presented as legitimate U.N. figures, they are not, and never have been.
Recognizing and accepting the Oslo Accords’ abject failure would allow all the relevant actors to re-evaluate and develop alternative solutions.
While billions from the U.S. and the E.U. have kept flowing to build democracy in the P.A., everyone has turned a blind eye to the bleak reality.
Mahmoud Abbas’s choice of Fattouh as his interim replacement was not the positive appointment of a successor, but rather Abbas finally imposing the PLO on the Palestinian Authority.
While Mahmoud Abbas is once again professing his commitment to peace, his actions during both Donald Trump’s first term in office and throughout the Biden administration tell a very different story.
Western countries must reconsider their approach to endlessly funding UNRWA and thereby fundamentally undermining any real potential of achieving their political goals.
