Rep. Summer Lee (D-Pa.) denounced “hatred in all its forms” in a statement marking the seven-year anniversary of the Oct. 27, 2018 shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue in which 11 Jewish worshippers were killed.

“On that dreadful day, the nation was reminded of the dangers of hate, antisemitism, and white supremacy,” Lee stated. “We must continue to fight against hatred in all its forms and ensure that every person, regardless of their faith, feels safe in their place of worship and in their communities.”

“On this painful day, let us honor the memory of those we lost by doubling down on our efforts to build a world of understanding, respect and unity,” she said.

Lee has accused Israel of “genocide,” of massacring Palestinian babies and of “deliberately starving millions in Gaza,” all statements that major U.S. Jewish organizations say are antisemitic.
