The international grassroots civil-rights movement #EndJewHatred is collaborating to present a groundbreaking, free community event, Stronger Together to #EndJewHatred, in Toronto on Sunday, Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. ET at the Bayt, 613 Clark Ave. W. Thornhill, Ontario.

Brooke Goldstein, co-founder of #EndJewHatred, will headline remotely as the featured speaker.

Goldstein, who is also preparing to release her upcoming new book, End Jew Hatred: A Manual for Mobilization, will discuss ways in which the Jewish community can organize to fight antisemitism and #EndJewHatred within our lifetime.

“Achieving victory in the fight against bigotry and hate requires coming together as a community, with our allies, to learn and use the strategies and tactics of grassroots mobilization,” she said. “We have seen tremendous advances for other minority communities who have stood up for their human rights, and this seminal event is meant to jump-start activism for the minority Jewish people in Canada. We are stronger when we work together to fight for our rights and for liberation from all forms of oppression.”

Attendees will learn practical tools they can use to address the systemic antisemitism they face and how they can become active partners in mobilizing to effect positive change. For example, some of the event topics include how to address systemic Jew-hatred in post-secondary institutions and identify antisemitic aspects of DEI programs.

“We call on people everywhere to join us in standing up to hate, conspiracies and lies,” said Alexandra Smith, a member of #EndJewHatred Canada. “Today, we make a different choice.”

#EndJewHatred is an international grassroots civil rights movement that unites ordinary people, activists, and organizations from around the world who support the cause that defines the movement: to end Jew-hatred in our lifetime. It does so by altering public discourse to make Jew-hatred unacceptable in society, while empowering Jews with positivity and strength to discover and enjoy their heritage in whichever manner they choose, without fear of attack or persecution.
“It’s a great victory for the First Amendment right to free speech, including the right to draw attention to bigotry and hateful speech,” Paul Eckles, of the Brandeis Center, told JNS. “We commend our client for having the courage to speak out.”
U.S. President Donald Trump appears to have precipitated the move by demanding congressional action in a social media post earlier on Wednesday.
JNS sought comment from Aria Fani and received an autoreply, “On leave until September. Will not check email with capitalist frequency.”
A spokesman for the Ivy told JNS that the school believes being required “to create lists of Jewish faculty and staff, and to provide personal contact information, raises serious privacy and First Amendment concerns.”
The new program adds “America First foreign policy lectures” and shifts focus to merit and core diplomatic skills.
Police officers found evidence that Dejaun Angelo was running a marijuana business in his apartment and “hundreds of ammunition boxes” in a storage unit.
