The draft resolution from the United States, France, Germany and the United Kingdom will state that Iran’s failure to declare its nuclear material and activities “constitutes non-compliance with its obligations under its Safeguards Agreement.”
“Iran’s shadow banking system is a critical lifeline for the regime through which it accesses the proceeds from its oil sales, moves money, and funds its destabilizing activities,” the U.S. treasury secretary said.

U.S. Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff has conveyed to the Iranian regime a “detailed and acceptable” updated proposal.
“Iran, the head of the snake of terror and destruction in the Middle East, must never be allowed to possess a nuclear weapon,” said the Israeli president.
“Such a level of enrichment exists only in countries actively pursuing nuclear weapons,” the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem said.
“Sanctions have been critical in holding Iran accountable for its destabilizing actions, including support for terrorist proxies,” said Sen. Jacky Rosen.
