Israeli police arrested two Arab teens on Friday for humiliating a haredi Jew in the Old City of Jerusalem and then posting a video of the incident to TikTok.

They forced the ultra-Orthodox Jew to kiss their hands and feet. A caption of the video read: “Look how he kisses our shoes.”

Police received reports of the video on Friday evening. Immediately, authorities began searching for the suspects, tracking down the teenagers, ages 14 and 16, and arresting them.

“We will continue to fight with determination and deal with violent crimes, in social media spaces and everywhere else,” the police said in a statement.

“Documenting illegal acts of this kind and spreading them on the social networks is even more serious, and the perpetrators knew that documenting the act will only help the police in gathering evidence, locating those involved, quickly arresting them and bringing them to justice,” the police added.

The missing person wasn’t identified until a hospital staffer recognized her from a post on Facebook.
