As the fate of the U.S. Senate rests on two run-off elections in Georgia, GOP control of the Senate could block nominees to the executive branch, including Cabinet members in a Biden administration, who may be hostile towards Israel.
With the balance of the Senate in question, here are five contests deemed very close in states with significant Jewish populations.
“We don’t have to agree with every action of every Israeli government to recognize that Israeli people deserve real security; part of that translates into making sure that we speak out at every opportunity against hateful rhetoric,” he told JNS.
Despite having been a governor of a state with a relatively small Jewish community, he has a wide-ranging relationship with the Jewish state, including two trips to Israel as the leader of the Centennial State between 2011 and 2019.
