“Today is not primary day, but I think today was progress day for JD Vance with the Jewish community,” said Ari Fleischer, a former White House press secretary and board member of the Republican Jewish Coalition.
“There has been an exodus and a trickle of folks over the last several election cycles who have seen the warning signs about what we’re now seeing in the Democratic Party,” the Republican Jewish Coalition CEO told JNS. “Now the floodgates are open.”
“People having to pay for extra security, for community events, for family events, it’s just completely unacceptable to me,” he told JNS.
“Every Californian, no matter their faith, should be able to walk to their place of worship without fear of being surrounded or intimidated,” stated David Bocarsly of Jewish California.
Nearly two dozen donors gave more than $61,000 combined to the Michigan Democratic Senate nominee and Dan Bilzerian, who called Rep. Randy Fine a “fat Jew” during his campaign.
Brad Lander, the Jewish former New York City comptroller who has accused the Jewish state of “genocide,” was accosted by anti-Israel protesters recently.
“From the beginning, I have told them that I strongly disagreed with this decision, and at this rising time of antisemitism, it had served as a gut punch to the Jewish community,” the speaker of the New York City Council said.
“My comments might have been misconstrued to be justifying something I did not intend to justify,” the Democratic Senate nominee told journalists.
The bills, AB 395 and AB 1836, now go to the state governor, who has until Sept. 30 to sign or veto them.
“Administrations come and go,” Rabbi Yeruchim Silber, of Agudah, told JNS. “What’s to say a future administration or future Health & Hospitals won’t say, ‘We’ll do it differently?’”
“What does he want from this?” Santiago Vidal Calvo, a Manhattan Institute analyst, told JNS. “Is this a publicity stunt?”
The U.S. president said that Mosss “has been tremendous as deputy staff secretary and, before that, as policy director to the vice president.”
