Anti-Israel Bias

Terms such as “apartheid,” “genocide,” “ethnic cleansing” and “colonialism” have been used to delegitimize Zionism and the Jewish state.
“The two parties discussed the Trump administration’s ... destructive policies that undermine the prospects of peace and the Palestinian people’s inalienable rights to freedom,” in addition to the rejection of a U.S. visa for Ashrawi, according to a statement by the PLO.
“We are sorry that the audience had to experience these inappropriate remarks,” said New York University president Andrew Hamilton. “A graduation should be a shared, inclusive event; the speaker’s words—one-sided and tendentious—indefensibly made some in the audience feel unwelcome and excluded.”
Ellen Schanzer, whose great-grandfather, Martin Bernstein, founded NYU’s music department in 1925 and was a decades-long professor there, said she “will certainly not attend an institution where my core beliefs and very existence is being threatened.”

In an email to staff, executive director of Al Jazeera’s digital division Yaser Bishr said that employees would undergo a mandatory sensitivity and bias training program.

“Know your Professor” website contains a searchable database of Israeli professors involved in activity such as promoting BDS, encouraging international pressure on Israel and accusing the IDF of war crimes.
