The state lacks a centralized portal and structures dedicated to reporting antisemitism and other anti-religious bigotry, according to a report.
Along with $500 million for Israel as part of the U.S. defense budget, the funding bill meets the agreement that Israel and the United States signed in 2016 to provide Israel with $3.8 billion in annual military aid.
“The regime perceives these protests as an existential threat, and it’s willing to use any tools it has at its disposal to get rid of this threat to its survival,” Annika Ganzeveld, of AEI’s Critical Threats Project, told JNS.
