The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation resumed operations on Sunday following a one-day suspension due to security concerns, according to the Israeli- and U.S.-backed aid agency.
“Since we stood down operations due to security concerns yesterday, we were able to repair our distribution site in Khan Yunis and continue operations there and at our other sites today,” read the statement on Sunday by GHF, which operates four sites across the Gaza Strip.
The GHF said that it had distributed 2,106,720 meals across three distribution sites on Sunday. So far, it has distributed almost 23 million meals via roughly 388,320 boxes since it started its operations on May 26, it said.
On Saturday, Hamas-affiliated authorities in the Gaza Strip said that several people were killed by Israel in the enclave, including near an aid distribution station in the northern Gaza Strip.
“GHF does not have a distribution site in Gaza City or northern Gaza. This is clearly false information,” GHF said in the same statement Sunday.
