Mount Arafat or Temple Mount?

“The Yishai Fleisher Podcast” with hosts Yishai and Malkah Fleisher, and guests Rabbi Shimshon Nadel, Yifa Segal, Yotam Eyal and Ben Bresky

Host Yishai Fleisher is joined by Malkah Fleisher to discuss the difference between Islam and Judaism as to where the Binding of Isaac took place.

The Binding of Isaac refers to a story found in Bible where Abraham was asked by God to sacrifice his son Isaac and was stopped by an angel seconds before committing the act. Jewish tradition has it that that act of dedication took place on the Temple Mount. Muslims generally believe in the story though there are different opinions about whether it was Isaac or Ishmael, his older brother, who was to be sacrificed.

In this week’s episode, Rabbi Yishai also talks with:

Rabbi Shimshon Nadel, the rabbi of Kehilat Zichron Yosef and rosh kollel of the Sinai Kollel, about whether the Jewish sages studied science;

Yifa Segal, former chair and CEO of the International Legal Forum and former chief of staff to Israel’s ambassador to the United States, delving into Israel’s current internal conflicts;

Yotam Eyal, the director of the Legal Forum for Israel, to discuss why judicial reform is needed; and

Ben Bresky, a journalist, about Jewish vegetarianism.

Produced by Yishai Fleisher and the Land of Israel network and part of JNS’s library, “The Yishai Fleisher Show” is a popular English-language podcast exploring Israeli life, politics and Jewish thought. Drawing on his experience as a journalist, legal and biblical scholar, IDF soldier and spokesman for the Jewish Community of Hebron, Yishai sheds light on everything from global and Middle East news to weekly Bible/Torah study, health, family and, of course, the amazing rebirth of Israel.

You can listen to Yishai Fleisher’s podcast on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts or wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts!
