“Distorting and blocking the flow of knowledge” is a violation of “the norms and standards of scholarly inquiry” and undermines “the university’s academic mission,” according to a detailed report by the campus watchdog AMCHA Initiative.

The government could have expressed support for a two-state solution in ways that “would have been more effective and avoided adding credibility to the distorted, anti-Israel narrative that adversaries seek to advance within the U.N.,” said Shimon Fogel of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs.

Israel’s Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit said, “The Palestinians are seeking to breach the framework agreed to by the parties and to push the court to determine political issues that should be resolved by negotiations and not criminal proceedings.”
The members of Congress stated that “academic boycotts of Israel defy the statutory purposes of Title VI programs. Directors, faculty and staff of Title VI-funded NRCs should not be permitted to implement an academic boycott of any country under their purview.”
