Ex-Military Advocate General Tomer-Yerushalmi released to house arrest.
Undercover operators arrested a terrorist who had planned to carry out an attack.
Hamas stands more isolated than at any time since its founding.
The suspect was shot in the leg when he resisted arrest.
No troops were hurt, the military said.
“Right now, Hezbollah is in survival mode. It doesn’t mean that they are not prepared for confrontation,” expert tells JNS.
Authorities confirmed that the remains returned by Hamas were those of the 21-year-old agricultural intern murdered on Oct. 7.
Tomer-Yerushalmi did not appear in person and participated in the hearing via video link due to her alleged mental condition.
“Hamas is required to uphold the agreement and take the necessary steps to return all the deceased hostages,” a statement by Israeli forces said.
The operatives were arrested in separate raids, described by the military as a “complex operation.”
The new Military Advocate General replaces Maj. Gen. Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi after her resignation and arrest over a leaked prison video scandal.
The incident marked the third straight day terrorists were killed after crossing into IDF-controlled territory.
