Dr. Professor Eyal Fruchter, a psychiatrist and former head of the mental-health division of the Israel Defense Forces, is the co-founder and director of medical and scientific affairs at ICAR Collective, Israel’s Collective Action for Resilience. It is a nonprofit national coordinating body working to accelerate trauma recovery and resilience in Israel following Oct. 7 and the ensuing war.
