A Tel Aviv rally in support of the 100 hostages held by Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip after 446 days was broken up by police on Wednesday night due to a possible “security incident,” the Israel Police said.

Israeli forces arrested one suspicious person and, “at this point, any concern for a security incident has been removed,” police stated.

Earlier on Wednesday evening, the Israel Police announced that officers were “conducting operational activity and extensive searches.”

“As necessary, and as additional details become available, we will update the public,” the statement added, urging the public to report suspicious individuals or objects to the 100 police emergency hotline.

According to the Maariv daily, authorities declared the security incident after a Palestinian from the Samaria terrorist hub of Jenin infiltrated the Jewish state’s pre-1967 border and traveled to Tel Aviv.

Kenneth Marcus, founder and chairman of the Brandeis Center, told JNS that “we understand that those who characterize us that way, rather than as the civil rights organization we are, generally aim to marginalize us or undermine our efforts.”
Michael Specht, Ramapo Town Council supervisor, called the incident “very disturbing.”
The head of the Iranian parliament spoke after U.S. President Donald Trump warned he will destroy the Islamic Republic’s energy sites if it doesn’t open the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours.
“It requires one clear choice: full decommissioning by Hamas and every armed group, with no exceptions and no carve-outs,” said Nickolay Mladenov stated.
“All the casualties from Iranian attacks, without an exception, are civilians,” Israel’s foreign minister adds.
