Thomas DiNanno, U.S. under secretary of state for arms control and international security, will travel to Switzerland and Israel from Feb. 5-10 to advance diplomatic engagement on arms control and bilateral security cooperation, the U.S. Department of State announced on Wednesday.

On Friday, DiNanno will address the United Nations Conference on Disarmament in Geneva and hold meetings with representatives of allied and partner nations on “issues of mutual interest.”

DiNanno will then travel to Tel Aviv on Feb. 8 to lead a combined team from the State Department and the U.S. Department of Defense for the Joint Political Military Group Dialogue with Israeli officials.

The department stated that DiNanno’s visit will also include tours of Israeli military sites, where the under secretary will “see how the United States and Israel operationalize their national security cooperation.”
