The Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem has been named Israel’s Leading Hotel for 2025 by the prestigious World Travel Awards, reaffirming its status as one of the country’s most celebrated luxury destinations.

The announcement was made on Sunday during an exclusive ceremony in Dubai marking the organization’s 32nd anniversary. Often dubbed the “Oscars of the travel industry,” the World Travel Awards honor excellence in global hospitality, with winners selected by more than 650,000 travel professionals and consumers from over 160 countries.

This year’s recognition marks the third time the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem has received the coveted title, following previous wins in 2022 and 2024.

“This is a tremendous honor for Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem, for our dedicated team, for the Waldorf Astoria brand, and for the city of Jerusalem itself,” said Avner On, the hotel’s general manager. “Winning this award for the second consecutive year demonstrates that even in challenging times, it is possible to deliver world-class hospitality at the highest international standards.”

The inaugural JNS International Policy Summit was held at the Waldorf Astoria on April 27–28, 2025, bringing together top Israeli and U.S. government officials, diplomats, security experts, and pro-Israel thought leaders to address Israel’s most pressing strategic challenges in a post-Oct. 7 world.

Located on the historic site of the former Palace Hotel, the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem is regarded as one of Israel’s most ambitious hotel projects, built at an investment of approximately $150 million. The property features 226 rooms, including 29 suites, a grand ballroom, gourmet restaurants, a spa, and meeting facilities that combine heritage architecture with modern luxury.

“We will continue to represent Israel and Jerusalem with pride on the global stage and warmly invite guests to experience our unique atmosphere, luxurious spa and exceptional service,” On said.
