Steve Linde is the JNS features editor and former editor-in-chief of The Jerusalem Post. Born in Zimbabwe and raised in South Africa, he made aliyah in 1988 and served in the IDF. The fatalities were identified as Maj. (res.) Harel Birenstock, 34, from Nokdim, and Chief Master Sgt. (res.) Tamir Vaknin, 33, from Eilat.
