“This incident clearly did not take place in a vacuum,” said Campaign Against Antisemitism. “We have repeatedly warned of the dangers of hatred going almost unchecked on the streets of London.”

“This kind of vicious act of violence won’t be tolerated in our city,” posted New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio on Twitter.
“To our Jewish community—I know this is exhausting. No one should have to worry about being attacked for their religious beliefs, ever,” said New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
FBI assistant director-in-charge William F. Sweeney said “a man who founded an organization aimed at creating a safer community should know the difference between right and wrong.”
The emergency “shul phones” will allow callers to press one button to be connected to 911, or to the local Shomrim or Hatzalah services.
Police said all of the reports are being investigated by the NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force.
