U.S. Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs David Hale says during the Trump impeachment inquiry testimony that military aid to both Lebanon and Ukraine has been on hold since June.
“We’re tired of sitting back and letting a few vocal outliers hijack the Democratic Party’s Israel policy,” said Democratic Majority for Israel president and CEO Mark Mellman. “Instead, the platform continues the party’s proud history of supporting both Israel and the peace process.”

He has expressed concern about the Democratic Party’s leftward slant, led by Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).
