The expiration of the embargo comes after United States enacted U.N. snapback sanctions on the regime in August, a move that included extending it indefinitely.
“[Trump] enabled federal agencies to combat anti-Semitism as a hate crime. He has fought anti-Semitism on college campuses. The president also signed the 2017 JUST Act and the Never Again Education Act, which provides $10 million for education on the Holocaust for our younger generations,” says Boris Epshteyn.
“We need to call out anti-Semitism wherever it appears, and we need to encourage our children to be strong in the face of it. It’s a form of bigotry and hatred that will never go away, but that doesn’t mean that we need to allow it to fester,” says the lawyer, teacher and health-care advocate.
On the other side of the aisle, Jewish Democratic groups are seeking to push Joe Biden and Kamala Harris over the finish line, especially with virtually all polls, including in swing states, showing Biden ahead of Trump.
Jacob Kornbluh intends to file charges “for incitement and physical assault, and will seek charges against any individual who hit me.”
The Trump administration effectively cut off the regime from the worldwide fiscal system with an exception for humanitarian purposes.
The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations lauded the decision, saying “this killer should be behind bars for the rest of his days; anything less would be a painful insult to the Pearl family.”
