U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson commended U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday for taking “bold action” to secure lasting peace in Gaza.

Sharing a video of Trump’s joint White House press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday—where Trump declared that the “U.S. will take over the Gaza Strip”—Johnson reaffirmed unwavering American support for Israel and regional stability.

“The United States stands firmly with Israel and the people of the Middle East, which haven’t experienced peace in many, many years. Violence and hatred do not have to define the region’s future. Today, President Trump took bold action in hopes of achieving lasting peace in Gaza. We are hopeful this brings much needed stability and security to the region,” tweeted Johnson.

Johnson earlier in the week confirmed that he and Netanyahu would meet in the speaker’s office on Thursday.

“We need to be supporting Israel right now as strongly as ever,” Johnson stated. “It’s a critical time in the Middle East, and they’ve got a real dilemma on their hands. I think President Trump is going to echo that.”

“I think Marco Rubio is doing a great job at State already,” Johnson added. “Everyone in the world needs to know that America stands with Israel, and we will.”

“Our hope is that HHS will ensure that if APA is going to continue to be a recipient of federal funds, that it comes into compliance with its obligations under the federal civil rights law,” Rebecca Harris of the Brandeis Center told JNS.
“This is a victory of vision, perseverance and Zionism, and another step on the path to the development of Samaria and a million residents,” said Samaria Regional Council Chairman Yossi Dagan.
Natalie Poulson told JNS that Democratic candidate Luc Jasmin III’s comments are “discrediting” and pointed to an increase in antisemitic incidents of Jew-hatred in the state.
The European Commission is reportedly preparing options after member states failed to reach consensus on broader sanctions against Israel.
Two Israelis were also detained in overnight raids.
The terrorists were eliminated in weekend airstrikes in the Gaza Strip.
