Israel’s Yes Studios is collaborating with Fox Entertainment Studios on the first scripted drama series about the Oct. 7 terror attacks in southern Israel as the anniversary of the Hamas-led massacre approaches, entertainment industry online news site Deadline reported on Tuesday.

Yes and Fox are co-producing “One Day in October,” a four-part Hebrew-language anthology series telling the personal stories that emerged from the events of that day. That title is for international release, while the Hebrew title is “Shahar Adom” (“Red Dawn”).

Created by Oded Davidoff and Daniel Finkelman, the series is filmed on location in Israel and includes actors Yuval Semo, Yael Abecassis and Naomi Levov.

The series “is among the most powerful projects I’ve seen, let alone been involved with,” Fernando Szew, head of Fox Entertainment Studios, told Deadline.

“Beautifully filmed, yet gut-wrenching, these are stories of people at their best in the midst of unimaginable, horrible circumstances. The survivors portrayed in this series allowed for their horrific experiences to be represented by wonderful talent—both in front of and behind the camera—which will invite the audience to ultimately feel their profound love of, and for, life.”

It will premier in Israel in October and then enter international distribution.

Avi Issacharoff and Lior Raz, creators of the “Fauda” television series, have been chosen by Leviathan Productions to script “October 7th,” a feature film on the heroic true story of Noam Tibon, Deadline reported in June.

Tibon rescued his son Amir, a Haaretz journalist; Amir’s wife, Miri; and their daughters, Galia, 3, and Carmel, 1, from Hamas terrorists who had invaded their home at Kibbutz Nahal Oz.
