Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei tweeted in Hebrew on Wednesday that Israel’s “crimes” will still be remembered after the Jewish state is gone.
“The crimes of the Zionist regime will never be forgotten. These crimes will not be forgotten even after the Zionist regime is destroyed by the grace of God. Authors will write in books that these people killed thousands of children and women in a matter of weeks,” the country’s top religious authority wrote in Hebrew and on Tuesday in English.

The message appears to refer to casualties recorded by the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry during Israel’s war against the terror group in Gaza, initiated by Hamas’s invasion of southern Israel on Oct. 7, during which it murdered 1,200 people, mostly civilians.
The regime in Tehran routinely threatens Jerusalem with annihilation.
Khamenei had a busy day on X on Tuesday, tweeting five other times throughout the day, including that “after nearly 100 days, the Palestinian Resistance is still alive, energetic, and well-prepared while the Zionist regime is tired, abased, regretful, and has been marked as a criminal.”
He also tweeted: “On the issue of Gaza, predictions are turning out to be correct. The Zionist regime has been defeated & failed to reach its goals after nearly #100days. It failed to obliterate Hamas, it failed to relocate the Gazans to another territory, & it failed to stop the Resistance.”
Khamenei’s X account contains one pinned tweet: “In the Name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.”
Israel Defense Forces troops operating in Gaza City’s Daraj and Tuffah districts discovered components used by Hamas to produce precision-guided missiles and other strategic weapons with direct assistance from the Islamic Republic of Iran, the military announced on Sunday.
Nahal Brigade troops found “components proving terrorists of the Hamas terror organization learned under Iranian guidance how to operate and build precision components and strategic weapons,” the IDF tweeted, sharing photos showing a rocket engine and warhead.
The Iran-backed weapons manufacturing plant was discovered as part of an operation to expose a 330-foot terror tunnel, added the army.
As many as 500 men affiliated with the Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist organizations based in the Gaza Strip trained in Iran leading up to the Oct. 7 attacks on Israel, the Wall Street Journal reported in late October.
On Dec. 27, Tehran claimed that the Oct. 7 massacre was a response to the United States’ 2020 targeted killing in Baghdad of Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani.
“The Al-Aqsa Flood was one of the acts of revenge for the assassination of General Soleimani by the U.S. and the Zionists,” IRGC spokesman Brig. Gen. Ramezan Sharif told Iran’s state-run ISNA news agency, using Hamas’s name for the murder spree.
Meanwhile, Iran is accelerating its uranium enrichment, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency, which reported in late December that Tehran “recently tripled its enrichment of uranium to 60%, reversing a slowdown earlier this year.”
Tehran has “increased its production of highly enriched uranium, reversing a previous output reduction from mid-2023,” said the U.N. watchdog, summarizing a confidential report sent to member states and obtained by Reuters.
Iran is enriching uranium up to 60% at the Pilot Fuel Enrichment Plant (PFEP) in Natanz and at the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant (FFEP), which is located deep in a mountain, according to the report.
