Otzma Yehudit Party lawmaker Limor Son Har-Melech filed a police complaint on Thursday against four officers who restrained her during a protest the previous day in Samaria.

Son Har-Melech accused the male Border Police officers of assaulting her and violating her parliamentary immunity at the protest against the razing of a Jewish-owned vineyard in the Shiloh Valley.

The officers in question had formed a human chain around Son Har-Melech, despite her protestations. On Wednesday, she said that she was touched in an appropriate manner during the incident.

Son Har-Melech told Hebrew-language media that the officers had confronted her and “one of them did something that is completely forbidden,” although she was “ashamed to say what happened.

“When I managed to get out, the same policeman who gave the order to create the chain followed me. He realized that he had done something which is very serious and told me: ‘You hit my policeman.’ At this point it became clear that he was trying to cover up what he had just done,” she added.

Her complaint was also directed at the two officers who commanded the demolition.

Dozens of demonstrators were arrested while attempting to prevent the implementation of the demolition order that the Defense Ministry’s Civil Administration had issued in defiance of instructions by Minister in the Defense Ministry Bezalel Smotrich.
