Zionist Rabbinic Coalition: No ceasefire until Hamas is defeated, hostages released

The group of hundreds of rabbis said it rejects “calls to place conditions on U.S. aid to Israel.”

The Zionist Rabbinic Coalition, an organization comprised of hundreds of rabbis across the Jewish spectrum, released a statement standing with the war aims of Israel and its citizens.

“We support the consensus of the Israeli public and the decision of their democratically elected government to pursue its military operation in Gaza until all the hostages are released and Hamas is defeated,” the group stated on Tuesday.

The coalition condemned “calls for a ceasefire” until “all of the remaining hostages have been released and Hamas is no longer able to pose a threat to Israel. We also reject calls to place conditions on U.S. aid to Israel.”

The statement cited the Hamas terrorist organization’s continued imprisonment and abuse of hostages, and that the terror group’s “actions and statements show why Israel must not stop its military operations until Hamas is defeated.”

The rabbis wrote that its goal, “as explicitly stated in its charter,” is “the destruction and elimination of Israel and of Jews around the world.” The statement further places the blame for all civilian casualties, including Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, on Hamas.

“Now is the time for the United States to display the courageous leadership required to defeat Iran’s proxy Hamas,” said the coalition.

The legislation, which aims to shield educational institutions from disruptive protests, passed the council in March without a veto-proof majority.
“We have to stop the defense,” the Florida congressman said. “You’re not going to mess with us.”
“The whole world has seen Iran was building up a conventional capability where they would have so many missiles and so many drones that they could overwhelm anybody’s defenses,” the U.S. secretary of state said.
“We degraded Iran’s ability to project power outside its borders and threaten the region and threaten our interests,” Adm. Brad Cooper stated.
The City Hall rep told JNS that the New York City mayor decries “displays of support for terrorist organizations.”
Isaac Herzog made no mention of recent opposition to his receiving an honorary doctorate and addressing students in his letter to the Conservative Jewish seminary.
