By working directly with young adults, it catches Israeli and Americans at a time in their lives when they are open to new ideas and cultures.
“From this place, I call on world leaders to fight rampant anti-Semitism erupting around the world, especially the shocking and dramatic rise of hate crimes in Europe, Latin America [and] the United States,” said Isaac Herzog, chairman of the Jewish Agency for Israel.
The goal was to offer information, allowing participants to ask questions about the Israeli government and the conflicts inside Israeli society.
“This process creates meaningful connections that support and uplift three or more communities at a time through their joint partnership activities, with Israel at the heart of it all,” said Andrea Arbel, the director of the partnership unit at the Jewish Agency.
Upon their return, they will infuse the communities they serve worldwide with key insights into the relationships between the governments and Jewish communities of the United States and Israel.
At the Nefesh B’Nefesh “Mega Event” in New Jersey, Keren Kayemet LeIsrael/Jewish National Fund chair Daniel Atar said “there is no reason why Jews from France and Belgium should move to Canada and not to Israel. If Israel worked enough, everyone would come to it.”

Jewish Agency to provide loans to employees seeking child surrogacy overseas
The loans will be available at preferential terms and low-interest rates up to NIS 40,000 ($11,000) per employee or emissary, and can be used at any point of the surrogacy process.
