At the IAC summit in Florida, Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández calls for a “trilateral relationship” among Israel, the United States and Latin America, based on “common values, common threats and common rivals.”

“For me, it’s the recognition that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel,” said Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández.

“Today, I have announced the first step, which is to open a trade office in Jerusalem, the capital of the State of Israel, and this will be an extension of our embassy in Tel Aviv,” said Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández in a statement issued by his government.

Juan Orlando Hernández will be the first foreign head of state to participate in the torch-lighting ceremony at Israel’s annual Independence Day celebration.
